11/3/2023 0 Comments Majesty 2 rat king impossible![]() Think of your initial buildings as sacrifices and keep building your base guilds. You will lose lots of buildings, it is inevitable. In the end I only lost 2 heroes to death (weak rogues in the beginning) but something like 14 buildings, most of those being towers I kept futily throwing down as decoys so things would attack them instead of my guilds. My initial rangers were about level 10 by day 5. ![]() One thing that's nice is that since there is constant constant battle from swarms of little enemies, you heroes usually can flee back tot heir guilds to rest often, and they gain experience very quickly. Once you have a tavern to make groups of well balanced parties and most of your heroes are 10-12th level, explore northwest and get that rat trap and destroy king rat. Then as for racial units, this stage seems to prefer Elven archers because they shoot the rats and defend the homeland. Secure the fort you made and upgrade everything. Make economy buildings like your magiz bazaar which has nice taxes. Get that trading post and tower up to the southeast. (I tend to save that for when the blacksmith offers improved staves and robes so they survive better because mages are so dang expensive). It is now safe to make things like the smithy, upgraded castle, and finally mages guild. By then, you manage to be able to fight off the rats with towers alone. Once you finally snake your towers off to the left of the castle, close the inside area off with a loop of towers, about one for every 1-2 grates and upgrade them all. Start building on the right and work your way left. ![]() I found that the sewers mostly populated ont he left side, so the tower that fist survived was near by guilds on the right. By snaking, I mean like build each one kind of in sight of another tower so the build efforts get some protection, and if you can afford it, set the heroes to defend those new towers. Luckily rangers near the bear cave tend to kill the errant bears quickly at the beginning, given that they seem to have a bonus damaging beasts. ![]() Once you can sit back and survive a swarm without losing your balls with stress, tackle that bear den to the north and the crypt to the south, if only to give your heroes money to spend on potions and regen amulets so they survive, and to lessen the spawns coming from there. It feels like a pitched battle of attrition until you get 3 clerics to heal them up, so prepare to be frustratied.įor towers, they keep getting taken down if you try to "outpost" them on the other side of the catlse, so instead try to inch a long a snake of them from your two initial guilds towards those sewer grates, and upgrade them as soon as you can. Maybe a rogues guild next to make cheap battle fodder and cleric's guild as soon as you can. From there, keep making sure your heroes are at max capacity and get them the healing potions and regeneration amulets. It is largely random luck that dictates if your first few buildings manager to survive long enough to be built. This stage you are CONSTANTLY bombarded by rats, so you need troops to fight them ASAP. If the ranger's guild and the warriors guild survives, spawn out those heroes ASAP. The guard towers usually didn't make it, maybe one of them if I was lucky. I found that the trickw as to very quickly place a ranger's guild in the upper northeast just below the bear den, then a fighter's guild to the southeast a little, a market place just to the right of the castle and throw down 3-4 guard towers each nearby one of the 3-4 sewer grates. Finally beat the King Rat mission after about 20 restarts.
